The legal bit

Privacy.

Last updated 6 May 2026.

No ads. No tracking. No data sold to anyone, ever. The arcade collects the bare minimum needed to keep the games running and to know which games are landing.

Who runs this

I'm Sam Mayell, a solo developer in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Chill Play Vibe is a small ad-free arcade — every game playable for free, made by one person.

What the app collects

Anonymous usage analytics via TelemetryDeck. The app sends event names like "arcade.session_started" and "feedback.rated" with the game ID and session duration. TelemetryDeck is privacy-first by design: it never receives a stable user identifier, and the data is aggregated before I see it. I use it to know which games are loved and which need work.

Local game progress is stored on your device only — your high scores, unlocked levels, picked avatar, and tip total all live in the app's own UserDefaults. None of it leaves your phone.

Tip purchases go through Apple's StoreKit. The arcade never sees your card or Apple ID — Apple handles the entire transaction. The app only stores a running total of how much you've tipped (locally, on your device) so it can show a thank-you message.

Optional feedback via the in-game prompt. Choosing 😍 / 🙂 / 😕 sends an anonymous TelemetryDeck event tagged with the game ID and your rating. No free-text capture, no personal info.

What the app does NOT collect

  • No advertising — there are no ad networks anywhere in the app.
  • No name, email, phone number, or device identifier.
  • No location data.
  • No contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access.
  • No third-party tracking SDKs beyond TelemetryDeck for the anonymous analytics described above.

Children

The arcade is suitable for all ages. The app doesn't ask for any personal information, so there's nothing to inadvertently collect from a child. If you're a parent and you're concerned about anything, email me.

Retention

Anonymous TelemetryDeck events are aggregated and retained per their privacy policy. Local game data lives on your device until you delete the app or reset progress from the in-game settings.

Your rights

Because the arcade doesn't collect anything that can identify you, there's effectively nothing to delete on my end. If you'd like a TelemetryDeck event log purged or have any privacy question at all, email me directly — one person, one inbox.

Changes

If anything material changes, I'll update this page and bump the date at the top. The brand promise — no ads, no paywalls, no tracking — won't change.
