Chill Play Vibe games are free to play, supported by ads and optional in-app purchases. This page explains exactly what data that involves, who it's shared with, and the choices you have — including how to turn off personalized ads or remove ads entirely.

Who this covers

I'm Sam Mayell, a solo developer in Aotearoa New Zealand. This policy covers the Chill Play Vibe games on the App Store — including LazerLoop, Helix, Color Sort, and MazePop — plus any future Chill Play Vibe game and this website. "I" / "we" means me; "the games" means any Chill Play Vibe game you install.

The short version

The games are free. To keep them free, they show ads and offer optional in-app purchases (a coin shop, and a one-time "Remove Ads"). Ads and analytics come from third-party companies that process some device data to show and measure ads and to help me improve the games. I never sell your contact details, and you can play without ever buying anything. On iOS, I ask your permission before any ad partner uses your device's advertising identifier — your choice, changeable anytime.

What the games collect, and why

Advertising. Ads are delivered through AppLovin MAX, which mediates ad networks including Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, and Unity Ads. To show and measure ads, these partners may process your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS — only if you allow it), IP address, approximate (coarse) location derived from your IP, device model / OS / app version, and ad-interaction data such as impressions and clicks. Where permitted, this supports personalized ads; otherwise you'll see non-personalized ads. Each partner processes this data under its own privacy policy (linked above).

App Tracking Transparency (iOS). Before any ad partner uses your IDFA to personalize or measure ads across other apps, Apple shows you the "Allow / Ask App Not to Track" prompt. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, we and our partners won't use the IDFA for that — you'll still see ads, just non-personalized ones. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Consent (EEA / UK / Switzerland). If you're in these regions, the first time you play you'll see a consent message (via Google's User Messaging Platform) asking whether ad partners may use your data for personalized ads. You can change or withdraw consent anytime from the in-game settings.

Analytics & diagnostics. I use GameAnalytics (and, in some games, Google Firebase / Crashlytics) to understand how the games are played and to catch crashes. These collect pseudonymous data: events like level start/complete, session length, ad and purchase events, plus device model, OS and app version, and crash logs. I use this only to improve the games and measure how they're doing — never to identify you personally.

Purchases. In-app purchases (coin packs, the starter bundle, Remove Ads) are handled by Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes the payment — I never see your card or Apple ID. The app stores your purchases/entitlements and coin balance on your device and logs anonymous purchase events to analytics. Coins have no cash value and are non-refundable except where required by law or Apple's policies.

On-device game data. Your scores, progress, unlocked items, coin balance, and settings are stored on your device.

If you contact me. If you email [email protected], I'll have your email address and whatever you write — used only to reply.

What the games do NOT collect

  • No name, email, phone, or address (unless you email me).
  • No precise GPS location.
  • No contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access.
  • I never sell your contact information.

Who the data is shared with

The third-party services above receive the data they need to do their job. Their privacy policies:

Sharing your advertising identifier with ad partners for personalized advertising may count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under some laws (such as California's CPRA). You can opt out by choosing Ask App Not to Track (iOS), declining consent (EEA/UK), or emailing me.

Children

The Chill Play Vibe games are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. Because the games show third-party ads and use the advertising identifier, they aren't designed for young children. I don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). If you believe a child has provided personal information, email me and I'll delete it.

Your choices and rights

  • Turn off personalized ads: choose "Ask App Not to Track" on iOS, or reset / limit your advertising identifier in iOS Settings.
  • Remove ads entirely: the one-time "Remove Ads" in-app purchase.
  • EEA / UK / California residents: you have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Email [email protected] and I'll action it.
  • Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information (California): opt out using the controls above or by emailing me.

Retention & security

Ad and analytics partners retain data under their own policies (linked above). On-device data stays until you delete the app or reset progress in settings. I keep emails only as long as needed to handle your request. Data sent over the network uses encrypted connections.

International users

The games are operated from New Zealand, and the partners above process data in various countries. By using the games you understand your data may be processed outside your home country, with the safeguards required by applicable law.

Changes

If anything material changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the games after an update means you accept the revised policy.
